"...we have, in this country, an immense reservoir of such men and women--anxious to sacrifice their energies and time and toil to the cause of world peace and human progress."        ~ J.F.K., March 1, 1961.

Since the Peace Corps began in 1961, more than 180,000 Peace Corps Volunteers have served in 137 countries.  Of these dedicated men and women, 271 have sacrificed not only their energies and time, but also their lives while pursuing the Peace Corps mission.  They are remembered here on this site, so that all may honor and celebrate their lives and service.

Our Mission

  • First, to celebrate the lives and service of fallen Peace Corps volunteers and staff through the creation of an Internet Memorial.  We hope to eventually include stories and pictures of  every volunteer or staff person whose family members or friends would like to share them.
  • To create a network of support for the families and friends of fallen PCVs and staff.  We would like to aid willing individuals and families  in connecting with each other.
  • To ultimately raise funds to establish or aid in the establishment of a permanent, physical memorial honoring each Peace Corps volunteer or staff person who has died while in service.
